Rovers appoint former Scotland international as Under 20’s Head Coach

Albion Rovers have this week appointed former Scotland international Brian Kerr as the new Under 20’s Head Coach.

Kerr

Kerr, who during his playing career enjoyed spells at Newcastle United, Motherwell and Hibernian, comes to Cliftonhill to take charge of Rovers’ newly-established Under 20’s squad, a team that will next season compete in the SPFL’s Development League.

We spoke to the 34 year old regarding his appointment.

“It’s a great opportunity to be offered the position of Under 20’s Head Coach –  a role in which I see as being the next step in my coaching career.

” It’s an excellent opportunity to work alongside a very good up-and-coming manager in Darren Young as well as the experience and knowledge of Billy Stark. Given this is a new position it will be a tough challenge but one I’m very-much looking forward to.
