Albion Rovers are delighted to announce Billy Stark as their new Assistant Manager.
The former Celtic, Aberdeen, St Johnstone and Scotland Under-21s coach has teamed up with Darren Young for the upcoming League One campaign.
He brings a huge wealth of experience to the club and has a fair bit of knowledge of the lower leagues having managed the Dunlop brothers, Michael and Ross, during their time at Queen’s Park.
Player/Manager Darren Yioung is delighted to have someone of Billy’s stature by his side.
He said: “When Sandy told me he was leaving I knew I wanted to get in someone with similar experience to work alongside me. As I’m still planning to play, it’s vital we have someone like Billy on the sidelines watching the game unfold.
“I was with him down at the coaching courses at Largs and I mentioned to him then about the possibility of coming to Albion Rovers – he was probably sick of me asking him all the time.
“He brings a fresh perspective and we’re all delighted he’s agreed to join us and we’re looking forward to the hard work pre-season starting this Saturday.”
