Solid fullback Kyle Turnbull has this afternoon signed a new contract that will see him stay at Cliftonhill for at least another season.
Turnbull, who rose through the youth ranks at Falkirk before making the move to Cliftonhill in July 2014, has been a mainstay in a solid Rovers defence over the last few years he’s been at the club, his signing will go a long way in allowing Rovers to once again forge a solid defensive unit.
Turnbull commented on his his new contract, “First of all, I am just very chuffed. I’m hoping to make it another big season and hopefully, once again, like last season, we can be in the push for the play-offs and go one step further.
“In terms of last season, it was another terrific year considering we’d just been promoted and so narrowly missed out on the play-offs. It really shows you how far we’ve came as a club over the last few years that we’re disappointed in not getting into the play-offs for the Championship. So for next season, I don’t see why we can’t be in the mix for the play-offs and compete at the top end of the table.”
