Match Reaction | Clyde 1-0 Albion Rovers

Manager John Brogan and debutant loanee keeper PJ Morrison spoke to Ben Kearney after today’s 1-0 defeat at Broadwood.

John Brogan:
On the performance:
“First-half we were unhappy with the players and we let them know that in the dressing room.”
“Second-half I thought we were composed and organised, we pushed them right up the pitch.”
“I thought the guys at the back looked much better today and were back at their best, Aaron (Reid), Barry (Eley) and Sean (Fagan) all played well.”
“Larry (McMahon) was asked to play in the midfield and I thought he did excellent and he gave us a real bite in the middle of the park.”
“Clyde will beat most teams in the division, I thought we marshalled them very well, we are progressing. A few weeks back we would have come out of that game four or five goals down.”

On the performance of PJ Morrison:
“He was simply outstanding, he has great reflexes and you can see he gave the back-line confidence. He has a commanding presence.”

“It’s a deal that will benefit us and Motherwell. It’s no disrespect to Daniel (Potts) who has done well for us so far this season.”

PJ Morrison
On his performance:
“It was great on a personal note, it was my first senior game so I was a wee bit nervous beforehand. When the game started I was confident and I made some early saves that helped me settle and I felt I had a good game. It was really disappointing to lose however.”

On joining the club:
“The lads have been great since I came in, and I had no problems settling in. You can see that the guys are really starting to come together on the pitch. It’s great to have the benefit of full-time training at Motherwell and I am sure that will help.”
