Match Report

Berwick Rangers will play Lowland League side Spartans after battling to a narrow win at 10-man Albion Rovers in their Scottish Cup fourth-round replay.

Paul Willis went close to breaking the deadlock for the visitors but Neil Parry saved with his finger tips and Marc McKenzie hit the bar for Rovers.

Andrew Russell’s left-foot strike on 80 minutes settled the tie.

And the Lanarkshire side’s hopes of a fightback were dashed when Joshua Mullin was sent off soon after.

Chances were few and far between in the opening period, with Berwick keeper Michael Andrews racing out to deny Rovers striker Liam Cusack when it looked like he was through on goal.
