Midfield-maestro Paul Willis has this week signed a new deal at Cliftonhill, putting pen to paper on a contract that sees him stay at Rovers until at least the end of the 2016-17 season.
Willis, who joined Rovers last summer after stints with Dunfermline, East Fife and Berwick Rangers, enjoyed a solid debut season at the club, scoring two goals whilst also proving to be a vital cog in the creation of many goals throughout the 2015-16 campaign.
The 24 year old commented on his signing: “I’m delighted to have signed on for another year and just want to kick on for next season now after missing a lot of the last 3 months with an injury.”
“The boys were different class over the course of last season and we were so unlucky not to get into the play-offs. I was disappointed I got injured at a crucial part of the season but up until then I thought I was having a good season.
“In terms of this season, there’s a real feel-good factor around the club and I’m hoping we can go one better and get the play offs for next season. ”
