After such an impressive trial match at home to Motherwell, Albion Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of striker Calum Ferguson.
The 21 year old, who rose through the ranks at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, expressed his delight at committing his future at Cliftonhill for the 2016/17 season.
“First of all, I’m delighted to have signed with Albion Rovers for the up-coming season. It’s a club with real potential and we were really unlucky last season to not make the play-offs.
“Darren kept a lot of the players from last season, but also added well too.
“Also, I just wanted to mention that I’ve had a really warm welcome from all the supporters and staff at the club. I just hope that we can allow them to enjoy the season as much as I am hoping to this season.”
“It was a really good atmosphere too today and it was only a friendly. I’m looking forward to seeing what the supporters are like when the competitive games start.”
He concluded: “I’m just really looking to get back playing every week. I was injured lots last season and I’m hoping this season I can really develop and help get as high in the league as possible. Promotion has definitely got to be the aim, something I feel the team can definitely do with the personnel we’ve got and the togetherness around the club.”
